‘Death Stranding’ Second-Biggest PS4 Title to Launch This Year

Published

on

Hideo Kojima’s work on Death Stranding has resulted in the title being the second-biggest PlayStation 4 game to launch this year. Coincidentally landing in second place on the UK physical sale charts ending November 9 (behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, naturally), Death Stranding is behind only Days Gone for moving the most units on the console on its launch date.

As a result of Death Stranding sales, Nintendo’s fun Luigi’s Mansion 3 (check out our review here) falls from Number 2 to Number 4 this week. EA’s Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville takes the tenth spot to round things out.

Meanwhile, Sony’s flawed but fun remake of MediEvil, which landed in the tenth spot last week, fell to 27th.

Free ‘Blasphemous II’ DLC “The Third Sin” Announced (And Available) Today [Trailer]

The Game Kitchen isn’t quite done with Blasphemous 2. The 2023 title received it’s previous DLC in “Mea Culpa” back in 2024, and has now had a third DLC announced in “The Third Sin”. That DLC is not only available today, but you can download it for free on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch!

Blasphemous 2: The Third Sin takes place within a huge and foreboding gothic castle that’s a quarter of the size of the entire Blasphemous 2 and Mea Culpa world maps combined.

The DLC challenges players to explore and overcome a part of Cvstodia that once served as a refuge for the nobles, until The Miracle wrought devastation within the castle walls. Set across the fortress’s meandering halls, twisting towers, cavernous library, and dank crypt, the expansion also features a gallery allowing players to replay previous bosses, and introduces a new gameplay experience in the form of three Familiars – magical entities that accompany The Penitent One, supporting them in both combat and exploration.

Added to the player’s armoury is a new weapon, a blade-tipped whip, enhancing The Penitent One’s move set with a series of standard and special attacks to vanquish foes into dust. Blasphemous 2: The Third Sin also includes new prayers, unlockable outfits, *five new achievements/trophies, and an additional six music tracks by series composer Carlos Viola to further immerse players into the castle’s uneasy ambience.
