Free ‘This War of Mine’ Update Released in Celebration of Fifth Anniversary
In case you missed it, 11 Bit Studios’ This War of Mine turns the big five today. And in celebration of the game’s successes, the devs have released a free update to the game entitled This War of Mine: Final Cut.
Final Cut not only has goodies like a new character, new classic scenario, and all of the locations from the game’s Stories DLCs filled with more quests and events, it also gives the graphics a boost with 4K UI adjustments, remastered versions of all the classic levels and 21:9 aspect ratio support.
“We wanted to put the last touch to this phenomenon. The phenomenon, which made us who we are today as a team, equally in terms of creative fearlessness and business direction, and helped us pave our further way,” says Przemyslaw Marszał, art director at 11 bit studios.
“We think of the Final Cut as a closing episode to the one-of-a-kind series This War of Mine has been. It will remain precious to our hearts and I don’t know what ideas the future will bring but Final Cut is final by no means.”
And if you haven’t played the game yet, both Steam and GOG.com are having a discount on the game right now.
This War of Mine is also available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

‘Little Nightmares III’ DLC “The Backstage” Releases June 12 [Trailer]
During the Future Games Show, Bandai Namco and Supermassive have announced the first DLC for Little Nightmares III in “The Backstage”. Featuring new puzzles and challenges, this additional content will take players to the darkest part of the Carnevale, where they’ll meet a new character and face new perils. You won’t have to wait long to get it, either, as Little Nightmares III – The Backstage DLC will release on June 12.
In this new adventure, Low will meet Dime, a new child who wears a torch hat, which turns out to be a very helpful tool for finding their way in what lies beneath the curtains of The Carnevale. The two children will have to face new threats and use their light to find a way to save Alone from the hands of the Puppeteer.
In the original game, players meet Low and Alone, who are trapped within the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing places. The two will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions. As they scamper and shelter on their journey to escape the grasp of an even greater threat, their senses may also lead them astray into the shadows.
Little Nightmares III is currently available for PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
