If you like your puzzle games mixed with body horror, indie developer Vikintor has a little something for you with Estigma, which is available over at Vikintor’s itch.io page.
Drawing inspiration from classics like Pac-Man and Q*bert, Estigma has…whatever your character is supposed to be, sliding around the map to colour tiles while avoiding the grotesque horrors out for you.
Making things more difficult is the fact that once a square has turned solid red after you running over it twice, you can’t pass through it any more. This makes for planning your strategy appropriately. It also doesn’t help that the various meaty monsters on the map will try to box you in. Throw in a timer, and it’s the kind of nightmarish game you’ll have to be quick to learn.
Estigma is still in development, but for now, the game is the perfect companion if you just finished watching Videodrome.
