With all of the excitement surrounding the announcement of the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake, the other game that Capcom has been working on, the co-op focused Resident Evil Resistance, is easy to overlook. Capcom has decided to remedy that by trying to shift attention by introducing a new character to the game, the mechanically-inclined Martin Sandwich.
Yes, his last name is “Sandwich”. Which, if you’re familiar with RE lore, the infamous “Jill Sandwich” comes to mind. In spite of the unfortunate name, according to the character’s description, Martin is a skilled engineer and mechanic, who can create traps to help buy the rest of the survivors time as they’re being hunted.
Martin joins the roster of survivors that includes Samuel Jordan (a 21-year-old boxer), January Van Sant (a hacker), Valerie Harmon (grad school student), Tyrone Henry (a firefighter), and 22-year-old Becca Woolett (a park ranger).
Resident Evil Resistance, as part of Resident Evil 3 remake, will be out on April 3, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
