Ellie from ‘The Last of Us’ Crosses Over into ‘Resident Evil 2’ With New Mod

Published

on

April can’t come fast enough for fans wanting the Resident Evil 3 remake. Meanwhile, May can’t come fast enough for The Last of Us Part II fans. So why not put the two together?

That’s exactly what you get in a new Resident Evil 2 mod, which replaces Claire with Ellie from The Last of Us. Darkness Valtier is the person behind this PC mod, which replaces Claire’s “Elza Walker” costume with a model of Ellie. The mod itself is titled “Ellie The Last of Us Mod” according to the accompanying video, which isn’t up on Nexus Mods at the moment, although WCCFTech has posted a link to the mod.

While the mod appears to be a pretty straightforward affair, it’s not “perfect”. It’s not that the gameplay is affected, mind you. It’s just that Ellie is no longer her original height from The Last of Us, and her face doesn’t quite match up with her adult body. It’s just one of those things that isn’t readily apparent until you start to focus on the character model, and realize the juxtaposition.

Darkness Valtier hasn’t left it at bringing Ellie into RE2, either. They’ve created a range of mods for the remake over on Nexus Mods, bringing characters such as Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 to the game. Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and even Jill Valentine’s original Resident Evil 3 costume (for those who miss the tube top).
