PlatinumGames Prepping For ‘Bayonetta 3’ Announcement Soon

Published

on

Hot on the heels (no pun intended) of the original game’s 10th anniversary (and remaster), PlatinumGames could be gearing up to reveal more regarding the Bayonetta 3, which is being developed for the Nintendo Switch.

To recap, Bayonetta 3 was originally announced back at The Game Awards 2017 via a teaser trailer. Since then, things have been pretty quiet regarding any additional information and footage on the title. Platinum has talked about the game’s development, including the revelation that the game underwent a design change (which would explain its absence).

During a sit-down with Inside Games Platinum’s studio head Atsushi Inaba said that fans “can expect to see more soon” of Bayonetta 3. Furthering speculation is PlatinumGames president Kenichi Sato, who went on to say that the studio will have some big announcements to make early this year.

This all comes to a head with rumours about a new Nintendo Direct showcase happening either this month or in February, judging from GameStop’s recent SKU additions. Meanwhile, the Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary bundle will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on February 18.
