‘Final Fantasy VII’ Remake Delayed to April 10

Amidst the cool trailers for DOOM Eternal and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis yesterday, there was a downer for fans of Square Enix’s long-awaited remake of Final Fantasy VII. The company announced that the RPG will be delayed from its previously planned March 3 worldwide release date to April 10.

In a message posted on Square Enix’s official site, Final Fantasy VII remake producer Yoshinori Kitase explained the delay was in order to ensure that the game meets the quality that fans are expecting, as well as “deliver a game that is in-line with [Square Enix’s] vision”.

The Final Fantasy VII remake will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
