‘Dying Light 2’ Delayed From Spring Release
In another sign that the upcoming next generation of consoles has devs rethinking the current gen for their current projects, Techland has announced that their upcoming open-world zombie shooter Dying Light 2 has been delayed from its Spring 2020 release.
In a message posted on Twitter, the team states that they “need more development time” to realize their vision of the game, which was announced back at E3 2018. No new release date has been announced.
Given that Techland has expressed their desire to release Dying Light 2 on next-gen consoles, the delay is potentially for this reason.
Dying Light 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, as well as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Season 14 of ‘Diablo IV’ Arrives June 30 With “Season of Death Awakening” [Trailer]
Fresh off of the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion, Blizzard has revealed the next season of content for Diablo IV with “Season of Death Awakening”. Coming June 30, the new season will also include a free trial for the new Warlock class that debuted in Lord of Hatred.
The story for the new season sees the aftermath of the events of Lord of Hatred and the massive loss of life from Mephisto’s wrath result in Death itself showing up within the realm of Pandemonium. Dark Rituals are creating multiple Ruptures throughout Sanctuary, and it’s up to you investigate and stop these rituals.
During Season of Death Awakening, the division between Sanctuary and Pandemonium is ripped asunder by arcane rifts called Pandemonium Ruptures. These rifts call a new family of monsters to slay, the chance to summon a familiar boss, and new opportunities for loot by conquering deadly Deathtoll Chambers.
Players will encounter three types of Pandemonium Ruptures. Kill the guardians around Death’s Head Idols, creating an open Rupture and casting a ritual ring. The longer you keep the Rupture open, the more rewards you’ll earn. Killing monsters and closing Tears will help keep it open. Rupture Goblins can also appear anywhere, opening additional Ruptures.
Also new to Season 14 are tweaks to Unique items. Any Unique item drop has a chance to be Mythic quality or can be upgraded to Mythic quality. No longer is Mythic quality reserved for just a handful of Unique items. Now you have freedom to equip what you want without losing any power.
For adventurers who want to go it alone, Solo Self Found (SSF) is finally here. Play solo with no trading or partying, and climb the exclusive SSF leaderboards to prove your skill. And speaking of Leaderboards, players have the chance to earn exclusive Halo Cosmetics and prestige titles by topping the charts.
And as mentioned, those who haven’t picked up Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred can get their chance to try out the Warlock class from June 30 to July 7, new players can dive into the base game and experience the Warlock class for free up to level 30, with all progress carrying over upon purchase.
You can read up more on the upcoming season from the new blog entry.
