Dark Sci-Fi Action Game ‘Hellpoint’ Arrives April 16
Cradle Games has announced that their Souls-like RPG Hellpoint will finally arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on April 16. And, as these things go, we get another trailer to ogle over while we wait.
Taking inspiration from games like Dark Souls and Dead Space and movies like Event Horizon and Hellraiser, Hellpoint is set in the aftermath of a massive quantum cataclysm called the Merge. You wake up on board the Irid Novo space station, a beacon of galactic cooperation and scientific exploration gone horribly wrong. What happens next will be solely determined by your choices.
Right on time, Snoring Dog Games’ Steam demo for their upcoming horror visual novel Thorner is now available.
As was mentioned previously, the Thorner demo features 10-15 minutes of “terror, dread and suspense”, with three possible endings based on your psychometrics. The full game will expand upon this, with the ending you receive being based on the choices you make regarding Colin’s thoughts, words, and actions.
The demo will also feature an atmospheric soundtrack, with demo-exclusive tracks. And of course, the demo sports plenty of weird, grotesque nature-based horror “that will make you think twice about going for a walk in the woods.”
In Thorner, you are Colin Snead, a military veteran. Haunted by your time in the service, you flee to the Scottish wilderness attempting to leave your past behind. However, you will find that spilled blood is not easily forgiven, and you are not alone. The land knows what you did. The land judges. Thorner awaits.
