Sony has announced via PlayStation Blog that Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II will have a public playable demo at this year’s PAX East, which takes place in Boston, MA from February 27 to March 1.
The demo will consist of “Patrol,” an hour-long gameplay segment early on in the game, where you must guide Ellie and Dina out of Jackson, Wyoming and into the surrounding areas to clear out the Infected. Attendees can visit the booth to play the demo, but due to the limited space (obviously), Sony recommends securing a spot to play the game via the Experience PlayStation app.
On top of the demo announcement, Sony also announced a restock of the “Ellie Edition” bundle of TLOU2, which will be available for pre-order once again in limited quantities starting February 13 at 6:00 am PT/9:00 am ET.
If that’s not enough, Sony and Dark Horse are teaming up again for a new collectible based on the title. Standing at eight inches tall, the “Ellie with Machete” polyresin statue is designed and sculpted by Naughty Dog’s character artists. The statue will be a limited production run based on the number of pre-orders (which start today) received via Dark Horse Direct. After that, an eight-inch tall PVC version of the “Ellie with Bow” statue revealed in 2019 will be available at participating retailers later this summer.
The Last of Us Part II is due out for PlayStation 4 on May 29.
