So, what do you get when you take a retro-inspired shooter like Dusk and its weapon mechanics, and mix it with DOOM II? Well, apart from getting more of the same great goodness, you get DOOSK!
DOOSK isn’t just a straight-up weapons port, mind you. The mod specifically works for modern source ports like ZDoom, so you get things like a flashlight, a custom HUD, and weapon abilities (such as the crossbow that penetrates enemies and walls) lifted straight from David Szymanski’s acclaimed shooter. You even get custom cheats from Dusk for you to discover. In order to play the mod, you’ll need the usual source port, and a retail copy of DOOM II.
Of course, to really get the feel of it, you’ll need to snag a copy of Dusk. Which, trust us, is worth it.
