We won’t have to wait much longer to get our hands on DOOM Eternal, nor will we have to wait much longer to get a taste of nostalgia reborn in DOOM 64, which is a pre-order bonus for DOOM Eternal. In fact, the latter now has a Steam page.
If that’s not enough, Nightdive Studios (who are handling the DOOM 64 port) have revealed to US Gamer that the port will include a brand-new chapter!
“On our end, persistent players will have the opportunity to unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy’s saga, taking place shortly after [Doom 64’s] original campaign concludes,” explains senior developer James Haley. “The Mother Demon you defeated in that outing had a sister, and since you’ve been messing up Hell non-stop, she tries to get rid of you by sending you away. If you can make your way back and take revenge, you’ll be rewarded with a bit of lore that fans of both series, new and classic, should enjoy.”
DOOM 64 is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on March 20, and is included as a free pre-order bonus for DOOM Eternal.
