Controversial Shooter ‘Hatred’ Heading to The Nintendo Switch

Published

on

In a shocker (in more ways than one), Destructive Creations have announced that their shooter, the AO-rated Hatred, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The infamous 2015 twin-stick shooter that was originally released on Steam (and garnered a bit of controversy along with it) doesn’t have a release date or price point at the moment, but its announcement certainly comes out of left field.

To be fair, the Switch has Mature-rated games such as DOOM, Agony and Mortal Kombat 11, but an AO-rated title is expressly reserved for porn games. Furthermore, most stores balk at carrying AO games, and most consoles won’t feature them.

In Hatred, you play as a man known only as “The Antagonist”. Disgusted by human society and general existence, the Antagonist decides to start a “one-way trip” spree of killings in New York City.

All progress made and rewards earned during this free weekend will be carried over to full accounts following purchase, including Perk levels and weapon unlocks.

Meanwhile, the first developer diary for Killing Floor 3 is also available, which “drills into the bloody history and legacy of the franchise, and how the studio is returning to its horror roots with the upcoming sequel.”
