It’s never easy when these types of news items come in, but with the current climate, it just makes it all the more difficult.
Paul Haddad, the voice actor for Leon in the original Resident Evil 2, and who also provided voice work in the RE2 tribute Daymare: 1998, passed away last week from throat cancer at the age of 56. His death was announced by Daymare: 1998 developer Invader Studios, who also paid tribute to Haddad.

In addition to his role as Leon, Haddad also had an extensive career that spanned decades across television and film, including voice roles on Fox’s X-Men (notably voicing Quicksilver), The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, MacGyver, Babar, and more. Leon’s Resident Evil 2 remake voice actor, Nick Apostolides, also took to Twitter to express his condolences.
Recorded this when I found out. A few words for Friend, Legend, and our ONE TRUE Leon, Paul Haddad. Rest easy brother. We love and THANK you…https://t.co/9AaVLSV1gb #re2 #residentevil2 #RIPpaulhaddad #capcom #biohazard2 #leonkennedy #re2remake #legend #biohazard
