Given the current situation, it would seem like a perfect opportunity to have a game jam. That’s what the itch.io community did over the past 48 hours with the Haunted PS1 Wretched Weekend. The rules were simple:
- Make a game to fill this cold empty void.
- Make it in 48 hours.
- It should have minimal gameplay.
- You may use a game you’ve started to make before.
- The majority of the game should be made during the jam.
- Featuring low poly models, pixel art, and possibly a pixelation filter if it’s 3d.
- Use whatever you can to make the game.
- The game should be spooky.
The end result has given us 69 games to play, all for free! You’ve got a wide variety of games to choose from, including some puzzle games. And, if you’re still not satisfied, the Haunted PS1 Demo Disc is still very much around.
