More PSVR Horror Headed Your Way With ‘Do Not Open’

Published

on

Who doesn’t want more VR horror? Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain and Quasar Dynamics certainly think we need it with their upcoming PSVR-exclusive Do Not Open, which set to release next year.

Described as a mix of survival horror with escape room elements, Do Not Open is also apparently based on real events. You play as Michael J. Goreng, a “well-known zoologist and epidemiologist trapped in his own house where his wife and daughter are held against their will.” That means you’ll have to do some puzzle solving in order to escape. And of course, deal with an unknown paranormal entity along the way.

Do Not Open will apparently have high replayability, as the puzzles, riddles, and events vary slightly across subsequent playthroughs, along with the house’s layout and rooms. The game will also not make use of any save points, and will feature multiple endings.

No word on if Do Not Open will be exclusively for PSVR on the PS4 or the upcoming PS5 is unknown, though the trailer below only features the PS4 logo.
