If you though Microsoft owning DOOM was the best thing to happen to iD Software’s iconic shooter series this week, think again, because you could go one better than owning Doom Guy, and actually be Doom Guy* thanks to a pretty awesome limited edition release of the original DOOM.
Yes, thanks to Limited Run Games, you can soon have a shot at purchasing one of only 4000 replica, wearable, Doom Guy helmets, modeled after the one that adorned the original Doom Slayer on the boxart for DOOM.
The helmet goes on sale this Friday at 10 am Eastern Time for $139.99, and comes with a DOOM floppy disk pin badge, and a print of the classic DOOM cover art.
This joins Limited Games physical release of DOOM 64 for PS4 and Switch, which goes on sale at 7 am Eastern Time the same day, and features a host of goodies including an old-school N64 box and a commemorative N64 cartridge. That is on sale for $54.99.
It might seem a bit steep, but it’s one way to spice up wearing a mask on a trip to the shops.
*Doom Guy helmet does not actually make you a demon-killing machine.
