‘Outriders’ Post-Launch Content “Expeditions” Revealed

Published

Square Enix and developer People Can Fly are already looking ahead when it comes to post-launch content for their upcoming dark sci-fi shooter Outriders. With the game launching on February 2 next year, the teams unveiled “Expeditions,” the post-campaign content, as well as a 10-minute introduction of the Technomancer class during their Outriders Broadcast (which you can see below).

“Expeditions” will feature a series of “tough-as-nails missions” to unlock the most powerful equipment in the game, as well as expand upon the game’s story. “They’re meant to be played with a team of skilled and coordinated Outriders. Powerful equipment and efficient character builds, along with true skill and mastery over your class, are necessary to succeed and reach the highest levels of Expeditions,” explains People Can Fly creative director Bartek Kmita.

Outriders is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Learn the Rules of the Game in New ‘SAW: Genesis’ Overview Video [Watch]

After the surprise reveal of SAW: Genesis at Summer Game Fest, Bloober Team has followed up the reveal with a new video giving an overview of the features available to players in the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer title.

Co-developed by Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios, the game is set in the grim aftermath of World War I, where you play on either side of a 3v1 confrontation in intense matches that take place on procedurally generated maps. The game is built for short, intense matches where no two trials play out the same.

Players can either step into the role of the Judge, an early architect of Jigsaw’s philosophy, manipulating the trial and its prisoners from behind the scenes. Or, they can play as one of three Accused looking to escape the deadly labyrinth through teamwork and sacrifice. Shaped by their experiences in The Great War, the Judge is dedicated to rehabilitating humanity through pain and sacrifice.

Your goal as the Judge is to rehabilitate the Accused, making them choose between life and limb rather than killing them. Live or die. They make their choice.

Customize your approach with perks and traps, then seek to control the match from the shadows. Unlike other asymmetrical multiplayer games, the Judge is physically vulnerable and cannot overpower the Accused through sheer force alone.

SAW: Genesis is currently in development for release into Steam Early Access.
