New ‘The Last of Us Part II’ Trailer Provides Expanded Look at The Story

Published

With The Game Awards 2020 right around the corner, and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II up for eleven nominations, Sony have put together a new trailer to just remind folks about the game. Specifically, the new trailer “provides an expanded look at the story, and, for the first time, focuses on Abby’s emotional journey as it intersects and collides with Ellie’s.”

“It’s been nearly six months since we launched The Last of Us Part II and, in that time, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support shown by everyone that has played the game and reached out to share their experience with us,” says Scott Lowe, Naughty Dog’s Senior Communications Manager. “This story and its characters mean so much to the entire studio and to have it resonate with millions of people around the world and be recognized by industry and fan-voted awards over the last several weeks is beyond humbling.”

Of course, The Game Awards would also be the perfect time for Naughty Dog to announce the standalone multiplayer component for TLOU2 that we’ve been seeing hints of over the past year, but that remains to be seen.

The Last of Us Part II is currently out now on PlayStation 4.
