[Rumor] ‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ to Be Revealed at This Year’s Game Awards; Release Set For Winter 2021

Because we all know about that rumour, so let’s have another for this year’s Game Awards, shall we? Keep in mind that this one is coming from Reddit, and with the only proof of it even being considered “legit” is a compressed screenshot. So, grab your salt.

According to the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, the dead-but-no-longer-dead Telltale Games sequel to The Wolf Among Us is not only getting a trailer and update video at The Game Awards 2020 on Thursday night, but details such as the story and cast have also been leaked. The cast includes Adam Harrington, Erin Yvette, Gavin Hammon, Melissa Hutchison, Nick Apostolides, Troy Baker, Dave Fennoy Ashley Burch, Cree Summers and Patrick Warburton.

TWAU2 will apparently take place two years after the end of the first game, and retain the episodic format of the original, with five episodes in all. The story has the game primarily set in New York City, but Bigby will travel to a small town in Vermont to investigate a Fable who at some point goes missing in the story. Snow White will also be playable in certain sections. Lastly, the game’s release is set for Winter 2021, and will arrive of the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.

Again, none of this has been confirmed, and is only hearsay. The last we heard about the resurrected series was back at The Game Awards 2019 in a small teaser, with original developer (and also resurrected) Telltale Games teaming up with AdHoc Studio to create the game.

The Game Awards 2020 airs Thursday, December 10 at 7pm EST.

‘Dying Light 2’ Receives New Difficulty Mode and More With “Nightmare Mode” Update [Trailer]

Published

Not to be outdone by Dead Island 2‘s recent expansion, Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 is getting an update of it’s own with the much-requested Nightmare Mode, which adds “the hardest and most immersive difficulty yet” to the game, along with an array of additional elements.

Nightmare Mode for Dying Light 2 forces players to rely on tactics and strategic management of resources in order to survive. The new difficulty introduces changes to stamina management, called the Tactical Stamina system, limited HUD options for better immersion, and a flickering flashlight that goes out when used for too long. These and other additions aim to heighten the atmosphere give the overall experience a needed refresh for veteran players. Those who manage to complete the game on this highest difficulty will be rewarded with the memorable Waltz Outfit.

The Nightmare Mode Update adds more than just the new difficulty. New adjustments to the Infected and night experience are also part of the update. What’s more, co-op players will be glad to hear they will now be able to take on the Community Maps with up to three friends. Archers will get reworked power shot mechanics. And you even have the opportunity to change the appearance of the Grappling Hook.

Dying Light 2 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
