Crytek Teases Upcoming ‘Hunt: Showdown’ Winter Event
Crytek USA haven’t forgotten about Hunt: Showdown. They’re in fact currently teasing the upcoming Winter event, Blood & Ice, with a new teaser. If that’s not enough (which it isn’t), Crytek will be revealing more during their Developer Live Stream tomorrow at 2:30 PM CET.
As for just what the event entails, details aren’t forthcoming. But since this is coming off the heels of yesterday’s major 1.4.8 update, which included new looting options, Watchtowers in several levels, new weapons and weapon variants, this might include new challenges and cosmetics.
Hunt: Showdown is currently available on PC via Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Right on time, Snoring Dog Games’ Steam demo for their upcoming horror visual novel Thorner is now available.
As was mentioned previously, the Thorner demo features 10-15 minutes of “terror, dread and suspense”, with three possible endings based on your psychometrics. The full game will expand upon this, with the ending you receive being based on the choices you make regarding Colin’s thoughts, words, and actions.
The demo will also feature an atmospheric soundtrack, with demo-exclusive tracks. And of course, the demo sports plenty of weird, grotesque nature-based horror “that will make you think twice about going for a walk in the woods.”
In Thorner, you are Colin Snead, a military veteran. Haunted by your time in the service, you flee to the Scottish wilderness attempting to leave your past behind. However, you will find that spilled blood is not easily forgiven, and you are not alone. The land knows what you did. The land judges. Thorner awaits.
