VR Mod For ‘Alien: Isolation’ Updated to Work With Epic Games Store Version
Remember MotherVR, the VR mod for Alien: Isolation that gave us what we hoped (and feared) which Sega never did? Well, if you were one of the lucky people who a few weeks back snagged the game for free during the Epic Games Store’s Christmas sale, you’ll be pleased to know that the mod is now compatible with the Epic Games Store version.
Initially, the MotherVR mod was not compatible with the EGS version until the mod’s creator, Nibre, released an update last week that fixes the issue and adds support for the Epic Games Store version. You can download the new mod version now over at github.
And if for whatever reason you missed the free version of the EGS version, you have until 1pm ET today to snag Alien Isolation on there or on Steam for a 75% discount.

Throwback FPS ‘CULTIC’ Launching on Consoles on July 23 [Trailer]
After releasing its Chapter Two DLC late last year on Steam, Jasozz Games’ throwback FPS CULTIC is finally coming to consoles. Best of all, you won’t have to wait very long, as CULTIC will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23. Accompanying the announcement is a new trailer.
As part of the console release, the Steam version will see an update that will bring with it some of the improvements, optimizations, and bug fixes made during the console port’s development. Solo dev Jason Smith aims to have this update ready to go “around the same time as the console port.”
Released back in 2022 on Steam, CULTIC is inspired by 90s classic shooters, including Blood, Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2, and most notably, Resident Evil 4. The story sees you as a disgraced detective who dug too deeply into a string of grisly crimes. The result sees you dead. However, you’re down but certainly not out. Rising from your grave, you’re out for revenge against hatchet-wielding cultists, armed with an arsenal of mid-century firearms and explosives.
The console release includes the base game, along with the Chapter Two DLC together in a complete edition, featuring a combined 23 maps full of blood, grit, and, of course, cultists. After completing the story, you can also test your skills in the wave-based Survival Mode, which is inspired by Resident Evil 4‘s Mercenaries and Tripwire Interactive’s Killing Floor.
