‘Control’ Arrives on Xbox Game Pass For PC This Thursday

Published

on

Microsoft had previously announced Control coming to Xbox Game Pass a few months back, though PC gamers were left out in the cold. Microsoft has remedied that (no pun intended) by announcing that Remedy’s award-winning psychological thriller will be headed to the Xbox Game Pass for PC on January 21st via Twitter.

In fact, Control joins a crowded lineup for genre fans looking to get games on their PC via the Microsoft subscription service. Not only does the Xbox Game Pass have DOOM Eternal (which joined last month), you’ll also be able to grab titles such as A Plague Tale: Innocence, Alan Wake (which Luiz talked about earlier last week), Alien: Isolation, Blair Witch, Bloodstained: Ritual of The Night, Carrion, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan and more.

Not bad for a service that costs $4.99 USD a month just for the PC alone.

Control is also available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

For those visual novel fans who have devoured Slay The Princess after its recent major update, and are looking for more, can check out 2P Games and Universe Studio’s Japanese-style horror mystery visual novel, Other Side of Mist and Mountain. Available now on Steam with a 10% launch discount until April 11, the game transports you back to 2010, with you investigating the disappearance of your girlfriend five years earlier.

Other Side of Mist and Mountain centres on Shizuno Yokoyama, a young man who became a detective after the disappearance of his girlfriend Maha back in 2005. Maha had mysteriously vanished at a train station on her way to a flash mob organized by an occult forum. What’s even stranger is that the train station itself disappeared too.

Now specialized in investigating occult cases, Shizuno has never stopped searching for Maha. Suddenly some new cases bring clues that might get him closer to an answer — but as his investigation deepens, so does the web of mysteries.

Players will solve puzzles and investigate clues to advance through a story that blends elements of horror, mystery, deduction, and folk tales. Your choices matter, as depending on the decisions you make along the way, they will trigger different storylines. As you explore the world around you and engaging in dialogues with a variety of characters, you’ll need to pay attention to every little detail in each scene in order to solve the mystery of Maha’s disappearance.
