Hot on the heels of the announcement earlier this week of its sequel, Focus Home Interactive and developer Asobo has announced a next-gen patch for A Plague Tale: Innocence, coinciding with the release of the game on the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 on July 6th.

As expected, the patch will allow for 4K resolution and 60fps for the game, and will be a free upgrade for those who already own the game on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Not only that, but the game will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch on the same day, though this version will be cloud-based.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is also available now on PC via Steam and the PlayStation 4. The sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, is expected in 2022 for the Xbox Series and Xbox Game Pass.
