[Trailer] Upcoming Psychological Horror Title ‘MADiSON’ Arms You With a Polaroid For Fighting Demons

Published

on

Fatal Frame doesn’t get nearly enough love as it should. Nosebleed Games seems to recognize this, and has taken a cue from the cult classic survival horror title with their upcoming title MADiSON.

In MADiSON, much like Koei Tecmo’s baby, you must make use of a handheld camera to deal with ghosts. Granted, it’s more of a psychological horror affair this time, rather than outright survival horror, but it’s still cool that you’ll be using your camera to not only fight off spooks, but also solve puzzles and explore your surroundings.

Plus, seeing as this is a Polaroid camera (remember those?), you’ll have to take the photos you print out and shake them to see just what you’ve actually taken, rather than relying on the game or the camera itself to show you.

The story for MADiSON sees you playing as a girl named Luca. You’ve apparently been abducted by the eponymous MADiSON for a demonic ritual. In order to survive, you’ll need to complete the ritual, fend off demonic forces, all the while trying to determine where you are and how you got there.

As an added twist, MADiSON employs the use of randomized events and puzzles, making multiple playthroughs far more interesting. The description of the game on Steam states that the game will have multiple characters for you to interact with, each having their own disturbing backstory “that blends seamlessly into the main narrative.”

MADiSON is aiming for a release later this year.
