[Trailer] Japanese Horror Adventure Game ‘Last Light’ Announced For Switch And PC, With PC Version Releasing This Month

Published

on

For those looking for a more stylized, “cutesy” horror game, publisher Crest and developer Team Corn Field may have something for you. Announced yesterday (and picked up by Gematsu) is horror adventure game Last Light, which will be headed to the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. While the PC version will launch on August 26, the Switch version has yet to have its release date announced.

The story for Last Light involves a girl named Lumi, who arrives at an abandoned hospital for a “scare party”. Upon doing so, she realizes that she’s the only one there. Venturing inside the hosptial, Lumi soon discovers that she’ll have to track down her other classmates and find out what happened.

The game’s main mechanic involves gathering clues as to your classmates’ whereabouts, all the while sticking to lit areas and avoiding detection by whatever is hiding in the darkness. You’ve got your flashlight with you, but you can also take advantage of lockers and other items to throw off whatever demons are hunting you.

All the while, you’ll be gathering diary entries to piece together just what happened in the hospital and its “tragedy-stricken past”.
