[Trailer] ‘Dying Light’ Heads to Space in Latest “Low Gravity” Event And DLC
Once again, Techland are sticking to their promise to keep on delivering new content for Dying Light while Dying Light 2 is still in development. The latest DLC is out of this world (sorry) with the new Low Gravity in-game event.
The event sees Harran attacked by forces from outer space. Players must protect the Earth from the invasion and influence of alien visitors. Unknown perpetrators have modified gravity, which affects the way players and their opponents behave. During the event, players will have the following abilities:
- Jump higher
- Fall much slower
- Take less damage from falling
- Use a grappling hook to quickly zip toward a target
These cosmic forces have also touched the Infected, giving them the abilities to fall slower and take no damage when falling. Furthermore, an explosion or dropkick attack will launch them high into the air.
As is the norm, the event will be accompanied by challenges yielding special rewards for completion. For defeating 100 enemies in the local event, players will be awarded the V-27 Chameleon Machete (gold). In the global event, for eliminating 100 million infected, players will receive 3 King upgrades.
Low Gravity will last until September 1st at 19:00 CET. Players can also snag Astronaut for $2.99 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This brand-new package of weapons and skins contains the following items, accompanied by unique modifications:
- Laser rifle – The V-23 Eraser – with laser ammo and a chance to burn enemies
- Stasis pistol – The V-40 Suspender – puts enemies in stasis with the last shell in every magazine
- Machete – The V-27 Shifter – changes its effect after several consecutive hits
- Outfit – The V-9 Defender Suit – grants fall damage reduction
- Buggy skin – The V-39 Star Rover
Dying Light is available now on PC via Steam and GOG, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dying Light 2 will arrive December 7th for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

Bloody Body Horror Revealed in ‘Stellar Blade: Blood Rain’, Currently in Development [Trailer]
Shift Up has shifted things dramatically from 2024’s action-adventure game Stellar Blade, offering up a body horror bonanza in the newly announced sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. The sequel is currently early in development, but if the trailer is any indication, players will be in for plenty of body horror.
Continuing the story from the original Stellar Blade, Blood Rain will star a new protagonist named Eve. Earth has been abandoned, and what is left of humanity has fled to a Colony in outer space.
Shift Up had mentioned during a Q&A following its latest earnings presentation last month that development on Blood Rain (which was still unannounced at the time) was progressing smoothly, and was on track to meet their targeted quality standards.
Shift Up stated that with this new title it would be transitioning to a first-party service model, effectively moving away from the restrictions the game experienced with original publisher Sony, which had the game under an exclusivity agreement for the PlayStation 5. “This will allow us to lead marketing strategies that fully reflect the distinctive identity of the Stellar Blade IP, and we expect to communicate the unique appeal of its universe to players more directly and effectively.”
Whether this means that Xbox Players will finally be able to play the original game (or its sequel) is still not clear. Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is reportedly being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, but no official confirmation has been made.
