[Gamescom 2021] Create Your Army of The Undead to Face The Devil in Action RPG ‘Death Cathedral’

Published

on

Melancholia Studio and publisher Thermite Games have revealed a brand-new action RPG for those who fancy building an army of the walking dead. Death Cathedral will launch for consoles and PC via Steam in 2022, and we have a trailer to go along with the announcement, courtesy of Gematsu.

In Death Cathedral, players have 15 days in-game to build an army of their deceased foes in order to challenge the devil hiding in the cathedral. You’ll have over 40 types of characters to recruit from, but keep in mind that your corpses of flesh and bones are just that: Every time you venture into the cathedral, the amount of decay increases. The dead warrior collapses when the decay reaches 100 percent. The increase in decay is irreversible, though you can reduce the increase by applying “preservatives.”

Luckily, you’ll be able to replenish your roster from your defeated foes. That being said, it’ll take skill to find the right balance for your team, as well as resource and equipment management.

If that’s piqued your interest, lucky for you, Death Cathedral has a demo available today until August 27th. The demo allows you to challenge seven in-game days of 12 characters, and a final boss throughout four scenes.
