[Trailer] First Season of DLC For ‘Aliens: Fireteam Elite’ Brings New Phalanx Class

Published

on

Aliens: Fireteam Elite fans have gotten their first taste of what’s to come with the first season of DLC with a new trailer, showcasing the brand-new Phalanx class. Best of all, it’s free and out now!

The Phalanx class comes equipped with a collapsible shield, which allows them to serve as mobile bunkers. However, as a result, the class is restricted to one-handed weapons, such as the class’ handgun and CQW. To even the odds, the Phalanx can trigger a point-blank Shock Pulse when swarmed by enemies.

In addition to the new class, players now have access to four new weapons: the L33 Pike, Type 88 Heavy Assault Rifle, the N79 EVA Laser handgun, and the L59 minigun. There are also new cosmetics, including two new gun colorways (Fleck Camo Autumn and Marble Gray) and decals, as well as a straw cowboy hat accessory.

For those who sprang for the Deluxe Edition (or purchased it for $9.99), you also have access to the Wey-Yu Armoury DLC. This includes a bunch of new cosmetics, three challenge card packs, three consumables packs, 12,000 credits and 750 reputation.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC via Steam. Check out our take on the game.
