VR Mods for ‘Resident Evil 2’ and ‘Resident Evil 3’ Released

Published

on

Four months after we got our first taste of Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes in VR, modder praydog has followed through by officially releasing the mods over on Github.

The mods work with the original Steam releases, but you’ll need some extra beef in your rig in order to accommodate for the added VR performance requirements. There are some quirks involved (namely with Leon’s wrists twisting around when he rotates his hands), but it’s damn close. Plus, you can even experience the cutscenes in VR.

With this mod, fans now have access to Resident Evil 2, 3, 4 and 7 in VR, officially and otherwise. There’s potential for Resident Evil Village to have a VR mod, though so far, no one has announced anything in regards to that. Still, Capcom may well have something up their sleeves for the game, along with DLC that we’ll hopefully see later this year.

Big thanks to UploadVR for the news. You can also check out their playthrough (in VR) in the video below.
