Gothic Action Platformer ‘Moonscars’ Announced for PC [Trailer]

Published

on

If you’re a sucker for gothic Metroidvanias (don’t worry, a lot of us are), Humble Games and developer Black Mermaid have one for you in Moonscars, which was just announced for PC via Steam. The upcoming action platformer is expected to arrive later this Summer.

Moonscars‘ story sees you take on the role of the fierce clayborne warrior, Grey Irma. You mission is to find the Sculptor, and unravel the mystery of your existence. Of course, to do that, you’ll have to battle through an unforgiving nonlinear 2D world, facing off against the relentless darkness that seeks to destroy you.

Moonscars promises to test your skills and reflexes in “challenging, action-packed combat”, while wielding a variety of weapons and magic. You’ll also be uncovering a dark story “filled with twists and intricate worldbuilding”. The Steam description for the game also indicates that Moonscars will have quite the difficulty, having you earn your way to victory through a cycle of “trial and triumph”.
