‘Scream’ Returns to ‘Among Us’ Tomorrow Ahead of Blu-Ray Release Next Week

Published

on

With Scream available now on Digital (and coming April 5 on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD), a little cross promotion is in order. And what better way to play the whodunit than return to Innersloth’s Among Us?

As they did when Scream hit theaters earlier this year, Ghostface cosmetic items are back with Among Us. Kicking off on March 31 for a limited time, players can once again don Ghostface’s mask and robe as they race to discover the impostor on board The Skeld and other maps.

This is again all in preparation for Scream hitting physical media next week. The disc is chock full of bonus content including deleted scenes, feature-length commentary, interviews with the new and returning cast, and a tribute to the legacy of horror legend Wes Craven.

Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a terrifying new killer dons the Ghostface mask. As the deaths mount, Woodsboro’s new targets must seek help from the survivors of the original Ghostface attacks. Now, only Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), former sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette), and reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) can find a way to stop the killer when everyone is a suspect. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Scream also stars Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, and Marley Shelton.

Meanwhile, we’ll also be looking forward next year to Scream 6, which was announced to be heading into theaters on March 31, 2023.

Among Us is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

In addition to Leigh Whannell’s upcoming Universal Monsters movie Wolf Man, Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel) has also joined the cast of Weapons, THR has announced tonight.

Weapons is the new horror movie from New Line Cinema and director Zach Cregger (Barbarian), with Julia Garner joining the previously announced Josh Brolin (Dune 2).

The upcoming Weapons is from writer/director Zach Cregger, who will also produce alongside his Barbarian producing team: Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo’s Miri Yoon also produces.

The Hollywood Reporter teases, “Plot details for Weapons are being kept holstered but it is described as a multi and inter-related story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.”

Cregger was a founding member and writer for the New York comedy troupe “The Whitest Kids U’Know,” which he started while attending The School of Visual Arts. The award-winning group’s self-titled sketch comedy show ran for five seasons on IFC-TV and Fuse. He was also a series regular on Jimmy Fallon’s NBC series “Guys with Kids” and the TBS hit series “Wrecked,” and was featured in a recurring role on the NBC series “About a Boy.”

Weapons will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
