Bruce Campbell Commentates New Gameplay Footage From ‘Evil Dead: The Game’ [Watch]

Published

on

If you’ve ever wanted to hear your gameplay of Evil Dead: The Game commented on by the man himself, Bruce Campbell, then you’ll want to check out the latest video for the upcoming Saber Interactive co-op multiplayer title. Members of the Slash ‘N Cast podcast and UnCAGEDgamez team up with other streamers as Survivors, while Bruce does his usual Bruce from the comfort of an easy chair while his son, Andy Campbell, plays as the Deadites.

The video provides an example of the mayhem players will experience as they either team up to take down Deadites, or swallow some souls as the Deadites themselves. Of course, you won’t have Bruce sniping your abilities and talking trash when you play Evil Dead: The Game (“…the best way to play the game is separately…”), but you can imagine.

If you missed previous gameplay videos for Evil Dead: The Game, you can check out their GameInformer’s Survivors and Deadites playthoughs. Sadly, no Bruce commentary is involved in those.

Evil Dead: The Game is due out May 13 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store.

For those visual novel fans who have devoured Slay The Princess after its recent major update, and are looking for more, can check out 2P Games and Universe Studio’s Japanese-style horror mystery visual novel, Other Side of Mist and Mountain. Available now on Steam with a 10% launch discount until April 11, the game transports you back to 2010, with you investigating the disappearance of your girlfriend five years earlier.

Other Side of Mist and Mountain centres on Shizuno Yokoyama, a young man who became a detective after the disappearance of his girlfriend Maha back in 2005. Maha had mysteriously vanished at a train station on her way to a flash mob organized by an occult forum. What’s even stranger is that the train station itself disappeared too.

Now specialized in investigating occult cases, Shizuno has never stopped searching for Maha. Suddenly some new cases bring clues that might get him closer to an answer — but as his investigation deepens, so does the web of mysteries.

Players will solve puzzles and investigate clues to advance through a story that blends elements of horror, mystery, deduction, and folk tales. Your choices matter, as depending on the decisions you make along the way, they will trigger different storylines. As you explore the world around you and engaging in dialogues with a variety of characters, you’ll need to pay attention to every little detail in each scene in order to solve the mystery of Maha’s disappearance.
