Check Out This Fan-Made Game Boy “Demake” of ‘Elden Ring’ [Video]

PC gamers haven’t had the best time with Elden Ring when compared to their console brethren. While the game looks nice, the performance leaves something to be desired. So for those looking for a more manageable version of Elden Ring, a Reddit user has a solution: a Game Boy demake.

The user by the name of shin recently posted their personal project, which while still very early, is immediately reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Created using GB Studio 3.0, shin still isn’t sure of the scope of the project, but plans on having the Limgrave area done “by the end of May.” Probably the coolest thing is that the game can run on actual Game Boy hardware!

Obviously, the demake is reminiscent of the fan-made demake Bloodborne PSX, which was released earlier this year. That one is still being worked on, and has now introduced bikes (?!) to the game.

If you’re keen on keeping up with shin’s development tales on the Elden Ring demake, you can check out their YouTube page.

Elden Ring (the one from From Software, that is) is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
