Starting April 29th, fans of Konami’s beloved action series can get in on a physical copy of the collection for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. And as is the case, Limited Run Games are going all-out with their variants.

If you just want a physical version, Limited Run Games will be offering up copies of the Contra Anniversary Collection for $34.99 USD. And much like they did with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, Limited Run Games is offering up several editions.

  • Classic Konami Silver Box with Art by Tom Dubois
  • Contra Anniversary Collection Soundtrack CD
  • Contra Anniversary Collection Reversible 18″x 24″ Poster
  • Retro Style Dust Sleeve

The Hard Corps Edition includes all that, but swaps the Konami Silver Box with a Deluxe Clamshell Case with art by Tom Dubois.

Finally, there’s the Ultimate Edition, which will set you back $174.99 USD, and includes:

  • Physical copy of Contra Anniversary Collection for the Switch/PS4 with reversible cover art
  • Classic Konami Silver Box with Art by Tom Dubois
  • Deluxe Clamshell Case Featuring Tom Dubois
  • Contra Anniversary Collection Soundtrack CD

  • Mini Replica Flying Capsule
  • The History of Contra Hard Cover Book
  • Bill and Lance Metal Keychain

The pre-orders for these editions begins on April 29th, and will last until June 12 at 11:59pm.

For those that need reminding, the Contra Anniversary Collection combines the classic arcade, 8-bit and 16-bit Contra games into one collection. This collection also includes the Japanese versions of several of the games, along with the European Probotector versions. Also included is a digital Bonus Book with concept documents and sketches, the franchise’s official chronology, an interview with the veteran producer of the series and more!

Come Face to Face With the Zombie Menace in the Story Trailer for ‘Zombie Army VR’ [Watch]

Published

While there’s no definitive release date just yet, Rebellion is teasing fans with a new story trailer for the upcoming Zombie Army VR, which is expected to arrive later this year. The new trailer gives fans and prospective players a glimpse at the Zombie Army VR story campaign, which as you might have guessed, involves occult magic, waves of zombies, and plenty of headshots.

The game’s campaign takes place alongside the events of the Zombie Army series, and sees you take to the field as one of the Deadhunters, an elite squad that is hunting down zombie war criminals. You must fight your way through undead hordes near the bombed-out city of Nuremberg to help Captain Hermann Wolff, the Deadhunter’s legendary leader, find his scattered family and fight to free Europe from the zombie apocalypse.

As you navigate the full-length story campaign either alone or with an ally, you’ll have access to an arsenal of authentic World War II weaponry, including sniper rifles, submachine guns, pistols and more. As one would expect, VR brings a new level of immersion to the action of the Zombie Army series, which will require you to “get to grips” with using your hands to aim your rifle, dual-wield your side arm with a submachine gun, master reloading drills, and tossing grenades.

Zombie Army VR is currently in development for the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, 3, Pro, Oculus Rift and PC headsets via Steam.
