‘Dread X Collection 5’ Launches With a Party [Trailer]
In case you missed it, DreadXP’s fifth anthology of indie horror goodness (that being Dread X Collection 5) launched last Friday, and is out now on Steam. Better yet, you can grab the collection with a cool 10% discount from now until May 27th.
Continuing the storyline from Dread X Collection: The Hunt, you’re headed to Outpost 3000: the place every kid dreams of for their birthday. That also includes presents, which just so happen to be 12 games by “up-and-coming indie talents from around the world” that center around the theme of “entertainment”.
We dropped some info on each game in the collection here and here, so you don’t go in completely blind. That being said, the fun is in the discovery, right?
The Dread X Collection series premiered in May 2020 and has since spawned four individual releases, featuring a collective of curated horror shorts from some of the industry’s top independent developers. Inspired by Game Jam events, each collection has its own thematic concept which points the featured developers in a similar direction but with full creative freedom.
After teasing fans last month, Creative Assembly has officially pulled back the curtain on Alien Isolation 2! Currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and the Nintendo Switch 2, with the game taking place in the coloney known as Kurasaki Station.
Back when they first announced work on the Alien Isolation sequel, Creative Assembly Creative Director Al Hope stated that the team was overwhelmed with fan enthusiasm for the game. “It’s been nothing short of incredible to witness [the fans’] passion for the game over the years and see it reach so many players around the world. It was a dream project brought to life by a brilliant team, and the reception you have given it over the years is extraordinary.”
