If you’re eager to get a taste of what Pet Project Games and 3D Realms’ co-op horror shooter Ripout has to offer, you won’t have to wait long. Ripout currently has a demo available for you to try, which will also be part of Steam Next Fest next week. No word on if the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series of Ripout will be getting a demo of their own.
Set for release later this year, Ripout pits you and a group of friends against mutant-infested spaceships, all in the name of collecting loot and searching of the last remaining bastion of humanity in the universe. Players will choose between multiple character specializations, and arm themselves with their customisable biotech weapon, the Living Pet Weapon (LPW), which absorbs advanced tech from downed mutants for upgrades to your soldier. Missions in Ripout will feature scaling difficulty through procedurally-generated levels, and last about 10–20-minutes to maximize replayability potential.
