Sony has jumped the gun on Naughty Dog’s remake of The Last of Us. Previously rumoured for a while, the remake was prematurely announced via the PlayStation Direct site. The Last of Us Part I will arrive on the PlayStation 5 on September 2nd.
In addition, a PC version is also in development. No mention of the Factions multiplayer mode, however. Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
Rebuilt from the ground up but “incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls and expanded accessibility options”, The Last of Us Part I also includes the prequel chapter, Left Behind. The game will be available in Standard, Digital Deluxe and Firefly Editions.
The latter includes a steelbook display case, copies of The Last of Us: American Dreams comics issues 1-4, and “early in-game unlocks”.
