Get ready for another bug hunt. During this year’s edition of Summer Game Fest, Focus Entertainment and developer Tindalos Interactive have announced Aliens: Dark Descent, a new action-adventure RTS which heads to PC via Steam and consoles in 2023.

Aliens: Dark Descent is an enthralling single player squad-based action game set within the iconic Alien franchise for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.

Aliens: Dark Descent sees you command a squad of hardened Colonial Marines to stop a terrifying Xenomorph outbreak on Moon Lethe. Lead your soldiers in real-time combat against the Xenomorphs, rogue operatives from the insatiable Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and a host of horrifying creatures new to the Alien franchise. You’ll also be able to customize your squad with a selection of different classes. Level up and specialize your soldiers with unique abilities and an arsenal of weapons, armor, and perks, for high stakes missions in treacherous territory. Develop your base to research new tech and improve your squad even further.

“We are honored to partner with 20th Century Studio and Disney to work on a new project from this emblematic franchise, and to team up with our excellent partners at Tindalos Interactive. Their expertise, talent and passion for the license will make Aliens: Dark Descent an iconic new chapter in the Alien series,” said John Bert, Managing Director at Focus Entertainment.

“The entire team at Tindalos is dedicated to delivering a gaming experience faithful to the spirit of the Alien franchise, and adding its own, never-seen-before elements to this iconic universe. The gameplay we have developed is unique, inspired from our favorite tactical and CRPG games and packaged in nerve-wracking, real-time action. Translating from film to our game the sheer terror caused by the deadliest species known to man was quite a challenge, but I’m confident most of you will end up in strung-out shape – as Hicks himself would say,” said Romain Clavier, CEO & Creative Director at Tindalos Interactive.

“We’re excited to continue expanding upon the beloved Alien franchise with a deeper single-player story experience thanks to the bright minds from our friends at Focus and Tindalos,” said Luigi Priore, vice president at Disney, Pixar & 20th Games. “Fans of the franchise should be excited to jump into a new genre experience and a new tactically thrilling gameplay offering unlike any of our previous Alien game titles”.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 Brings ‘Fortnite’ to Life with New ‘Fortnitemares’ Scare Zone

Epic’s Fortnite is heading for another crossover, this time with Universal Orlando and Halloween Horror Nights. The title’s annual Fortnitemares Halloween event will be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in a new scare zone, kicking off on August 28.

For those not in the know, Scare zones are themed, open-air areas where guests and actors roam around freely.

This is the first time Fortnite will be featured during the after-hours event, which will run from August 28 until November 1. Tickets and packages are on sale now at the official site.

Per the press release, guests will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground that’s been “overcome with a threatening force.” From there, fans will meet up with the Battle Bus, featuring familiar Fortnitemares characters, including “a few new additions exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights.”

And of course, there will be Fortnitemares merchandise available for fans, including a graphic t-shirt, decal set, and an acrylic collectible piece.

Fortnitemares won’t be the only featured property at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. Killer Klowns from Outer Space will also be getting its own scare zone. Sinners, Stranger Things, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead Burn will also be part of the event, though they will be relegated to their own specific houses.

And while it’s early yet, gamers can probably expect Fortnitemares to return to Fortnite this October.
