Mars Holds Terrifying Secrets in ‘Fort Solis’ [Trailer]

Published

on

To say that sci-fi horror fans had their pick of games during the opening day of Summer Game Fest was an understatement. In amongst all of the announcements was Fallen Leaf Studio’s Fort Solis, a single-player third-person thriller set on the far side of Mars.

Set for release on PC via Steam, Fort Solis features the talents of Troy Baker and Roger Clark. The game follows engineer Jack Leary, who while responding to a routine alarm at the eponymous facility, discovers that the place is deserted. As the night grows longer events begin to unravel and spiral out of control. The mystery of what Fort Solis was created for starts to appear along with its crew.

Powered by the Unreal Engine 5, Fort Solis will feature “huge narrative moments” that have multiple outcomes, with each containing story-changing consequences. The facility itself is huge, with one large base location encompassing over nine individual structures, all containing surface and sub-surface levels. Players have the choice of remaining on the surface of Mars, or progress through the game by remaining below the surface.
