Fans longing for the return of Bayonetta and company have finally gotten their wish. After teasing fans months ago, Platinum Games has revealed via a slick new trailer that Bayonetta 3 will arrive October 28th on the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are now live for the follow-up to 2014’s Bayonetta 2.

According to the description on the Nintendo eShop, Bayonetta and company will be facing off against invading manmade bioweapons called Homunculi. Bayonetta will also have some new tricks in the Demon Masquerade, a new ability that channels the demon linked to her weapon, allowing for some “exciting action options”. Bayonetta can also summon her demonic compatriots like Gomorrah, Malphas, and Phantasmaraneae during battle, unleashing their demonic powers in the heat of combat.

Bayonetta isn’t the only character you’ll be playing as in the game. You’ll also slash and slay as Viola, a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and her demonic companion Cheshire. Bayonetta 3 will see you making your way through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China, and more. Along the way, you’ll meet a virtual coven of Bayonettas. Find out what fate awaits Bayonetta, and if this arcane alliance can really save reality!

And for you completionists, the original Bayonetta will be made available in a limited physical edition for the Switch on September 30th. A limited number will be made available to pre-order at select retailers ahead of launch, with the game setting you back $29.99 USD.
