‘White Day: A Labyrinth Named School’ Gets September Release, Including Physical PS5 and Switch Versions

Published

on

Initially announced for release this fall on PlayStation 5, publisher PQube and developer SONNORI have revealed that White Day: A Labyrinth Named School will be released on September 8 for for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch. And for those who like physical copies, the PlayStation 5 and Switch versions will have a physical release in addition to digital.

Originally released for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a Korean Survival Horror title that has been rebuilt and localized from its original 2001 release. Considered by fans to be “one of the scariest games ever made”, White Day centres on Hee-Min Lee, who on the eve of the gift-giving holiday White Day (the Asian equivalent of Valentine’s Day), sneaks into school to hide a box of candies for a girl he fancies. Unfortunately for him, the school shutters slam shut, and Lee finds himself trapped in the building overnight. Complicating matters is the fact that he’s now being hunted by the school’s janitor, as well as being haunted by the souls of the dead that remain in the school.

White Day features 20 unique ghosts for you to encounter (and avoid), as well as a dynamic scare system, where the higher the difficulty, the more terrors you encounter. In addition to surviving and trying to make your way out of the school, you’ll also discover hidden secrets, ghost stories and ten different endings that are dependent on your actions in the game.

Thanks to Gematsu for the heads up.
