‘Monstrum 2’ Exits Early Access Next Month With Limited-Time Discount [Trailer]
After giving fans a free weekend earlier this month, Junkfish will finally be bringing Monstrum 2 out of Early Access on Steam next month. On top of that, the game will be receiving a 10% discount for the first week.
Monstrum 2 will hit 1.0 on September 6th, with the game retailing for $14.99 USD. The 10% off discount will run from the 6th until September 12th.
“We are thrilled to finally be moving Monstrum 2 out of Early Access and into full release,” says Adam Dart, Director of Team Junkfish.
“The game has been one of the most ambitious titles we’ve tackled and Early Access has allowed us to experiment with the community to see what works and what doesn’t. We are truly grateful for all of the support we have received from the community and we are very much looking forward to this new phase of the game.”
The follow-up to 2015’s Monstrum, the sequel sees you and up to three of your friends attempting to escape the decrepit sea fortress known as Sparrow Lock. Unfortunately, you’ve also got to deal with that one friend who gets to play as the monster that lurks in the bowels of the fortress. It’s up to you and your fellow inmates how you survive, as you’ll need to use your cunning and your wits to navigate the abandoned facility, as well as solve puzzles along the way.

It’s been two years since the mysterious disappearance of Edward Crow and the abrupt closure of his theme park, the eponymous Crow Country. You are Mara Forest, and you’re searching for some answers from Crow. You’ll need to venture deep into the abandoned Crow Country theme park and uncover the secrets behind its Crow’s sudden disappearance.
Crow Country will see you immerse yourself in a richly atmospheric, deeply sinister world evocative of late 90s pre-rendered graphics. You’ll need to make every bullet count as you manage limited resources and try to survive against the creatures that stalk the eerily tranquil grounds of the amusement park.
Monsters aren’t your only problem, however. Crow Country hides many secrets behind its locked gates, requiring you to overcome the gauntlet of puzzles and challenges that stand between you and the truth. And for those who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere without having to battle against the inhabitants of the park, there’s the “Exploration Mode”, which switches off the combat to focus entirely on solving the mystery and exploration.
