Roguelike Deck Builder ‘HELLCARD’ Out Now in Early Access [Trailer]
First revealed last November, Thing Trunk’s cooperative roguelike deck builder HELLCARD is out now in Early Access on Steam. In addition, players can also enjoy some free DLC for HELLCARD for a limited time, as well as a 10% discount.
Thing Trunk also laid out the Early Access roadmap for HELLCARD, which besides adding achievements, controller support and optimized Steam Deck support, the developer is also looking to implement “a truckload” of Quality-of-Life improvements. That’s on top of the plans for new content for the game, as well as the usual bug fixes that come with being in Early Access. It’s not clear how long the game will be in Early Access
Taking place in the paper dungeons first introduced in Book of Demons, HELLCARD and its mechanics revolve around deck-building and fast-paced technical battles. But don’t think this is “just another deck-builder.” HELLCARD brings various unique features that require players to consider their moves carefully. For instance, monster placement actually matters and is integral to gaining an advantage in battle.
For those who prefer multiplayer, HELLCARD offers co-op battles with up to three heroes facing Archdemon’s hordes. Multiplayer companions can be friends or random strangers selected when online. Players can also can tackle the action in single-player mode, descend into the dungeons solo, or recruit AI-controlled companions.

Sega’s Dreamcast to Live Again with Brand-New Survival Horror Title ‘White Creek’ [Trailer]
The fate of Sega’s Dreamcast was the unfortunate product of a handful of key events, and despite its short lifespan, it rightfully still holds a place in many fans’ hearts. PixelHeart are a group of said fans, who have been working away at developing a new game for the Dreamcast in their survival horror title, White Creek. And even if you don’t own a Dreamcast, the team is also working to port the game to modern consoles, as well as Steam. They’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign soon to assist with development.
White Creek casts players as Alicia Morelli, a freelance exorcist who’s drawn to the eponymous town of White Creek. At first it was only rumors, but soon the townspeople were turning on each other in unexplained outbursts of violence. The violence spread, and those who were unable to leave remain in hiding . . . or are no longer themselves.
The possessed that Alicia will encounter can still be saved, but not all. You can choose to free them from their curse, or kill them. However, in exorcising them, you run the risk of losing your own soul.
Alicia has several weapons at her disposal, in addition to her psychic powers. These abilities allow her to detect spiritual anomalies, whether they are found within the possessed or hidden throughout the environment. She can also capture and record them using her mobile phone, a crucial tool for exploration, investigation, and puzzle-solving.
