Revamped Gameplay Revealed for ‘Deceit 2’ in New Trailer [Video]
After revealing Deceit 2 a few weeks back, developer World Maker has released the first bits of gameplay for the upcoming sequel via a new teaser.
The teaser also features a first look at some of the items at the Survivors’ disposal for finding out who the Infected are, as well as the overhauled shooting mechanics for when it’s time to “vote” these suspected Infected players out. Placing a greater emphasis on social deduction strategy, Deceit 2 will leave players asking just who they can trust.
Re-built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, players enter one of the foreboding maps to figure out who among the group is a murderous Infected Terror. Featuring new items, nine player matches, and overhauled gameplay; Deceit 2 promises to be “a fully engrossing and truly terrifying multiplayer game where only the sane will survive.”
Deceit 2 will also offer narrative content to fans featuring new and returning characters from the original Deceit, following the story of a mysterious ritual with blood and subterfuge in a multidimensional fight to survive. Player count has been upgraded to nine players, offering more opportunities for strategy, but also more chances that someone might be the Infected. Players will also be able to trade with a new character known as “The Peddler” for weapons, items, and clues on Infected players.
Deceit 2 is currently in development for PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
