‘Chapter 2: Retribution’ for ‘The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners’ Out Now for PC and PS VR2 [Trailer]

Skydance Interactive‘s The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is finally out today on PC via Steam and PS VR2. And with Retribution‘s launch is the customary launch trailer, along with news that Chapter 1 has received an upgrade for PS VR2 users, and a Day One patch that introduces a new weapon.

Following the launch of Retribution on Meta Quest late last year, Skydance Interactive has been implementing various improvements leading up to Saints & Sinners for its launch on PC and PS VR2 today. As mentioned back in January, players are now able to transfer save game data between games and VR platforms (eg. players who have Chapter 1 saves can upload them to Chapter 2 through Meta, PC and PlayStation VR hardware). And for those PS VR2 owners looking to catch up on The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, you can get a free Chapter 1 upgrade to PS VR2 if you already own the Tourist Edition of the original title on PS VR.

Those with the standard version on PS VR can pay $10 to upgrade to the Tourist Edition to unlock the upgrade on PS VR2.

As for the Day One patch, in addition to bringing quality-of-life improvements to Saints & Sinners while addressing community feedback, players can also get their hands on a brand-new compound bow called “The Orphan”. Notable improvements include:

  • Added cloud based cross platform support for save transfers and save sharing

  • Improved environmental lighting

  • Community mod names are now included

  • Improved NPC animations

  • Rebalanced armored enemies

Newcomers and players returning to The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners world will once again jump into the role of The Tourist as they navigate all-new threats lurking around every corner of the flooded city of New Orleans. In Chapter 2: Retribution, players are tasked with facing more than the undead Walkers roaming the streets, as various factions and individuals have risen in power. There’s also the unrelenting threat of the Axeman that introduces a new level of terror to the game.

“Blood in the Water” Update Brings New Content and Difficulty Settings to ‘Barotrauma’

Published

on

FakeFish and Undertow Games have given veteran Barotrauma players a run for their money with the new “Blood in the Water” update. Available now, the update brings with it a new difficulty settings, alongside new content and customization options for the underwater co-op title.

For starters, Blood in the Water adds two new monsters to Barotrauma—the Viperling and a new Spineling variant—which employ poison attacks. Not only that, but the devs have brought back the cave-dwelling Mantis, a monster that used to exist in early Barotrauma builds. Existing monsters have also been tweaked, with Abyss monsters now better at targeting characters inside the submarine for added danger.

New campaign difficulty settings have also been added, with the ability to adjust the campaign difficulty to your liking using one of four presets, or by fine-tuning various parameters yourself. There have also been improvements to the respawning system in multiplayer, which involves the removal of the Reaper’s Tax and replacing it with customizable respawning skill loss penalty. New wrecks and beacon stations have also been added, as well as a new kind of wreck mission.

Other changes with the update include a rebalancing of the diving suits for clearer use cases, as well as reducing the flooding speed to give players more time to react during a hull breach. This is in addition to the various other tweaks to animations and station events.

Barotrauma is available now in full after exiting from Early Access last year.
