‘Killer Frequency’ Sees a June 1 Release for PC and Consoles [Trailer]

Published

Almost a year to the day when it was first announced, Team17’s Killer Frequency will see a release on June 1st for PC via Steam. Not only that, but Killer Frequency will release the same day on Meta Quest 2, as well as the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch!

Set during the 1980s in the midwestern US town of Gallows Creek, where a serial killer is on the loose, Killer Frequency follows Forrest Nash, a washed-up DJ and presenter of the ‘The Scream’ late night show for KFAM. You’ve just started your shift when someone calls in with a horrifying discovery. What follows sees you meeting with a variety of eccentric small-town personalities including potential victims and suspects as you try to help each of your callers survive the night.

As the gruesome night unfolds in Killer Frequency, gameplay will have you interacting with callers to the show using a variety of conversation options while listening carefully for clues and information, solving puzzles around the studio that could help prevent the callers’ grisly fates, and keeping the show going with tunes inspired by the decade. Death can come easy in Killer Frequency, but is never assured, so it’s up to you to prevent the slaughter, discover the killer’s true identity, and keep the grooves going until dawn.
