‘Aliens: Fireteam Elite’ Receiving Cloud-Based Switch Version on April 26th [Trailer]

Published

on

Two years after its initial launch, Cold Iron Studios and Focus Entertainment have announced that they’ll be bringing Aliens: Fireteam Elite to the Nintendo Switch. And seeing as Alien Day isn’t too far away, it makes sense that the Switch version comes out on April 26th.

The Switch version of Fireteam Elite will be cloud based, similar to how Remedy handled the Switch version of Control. The Switch version will also be crossplay compatible with the previously-released PC and console versions.

Pre-orders for the Switch version of Aliens: Fireteam Elite are available via the Nintendo eShop, and come in three flavours: the $29.99 standard base game, the “Into The Hive” edition for $39.99, and the Ultimate Edition for $59.99. The “Into The Hive” edition includes the base game and the Pathogen expansion, whereas the Ultimate Edition includes all that, plus the Endeavor Pass and Endeavor Veteran Pack. There is also a demo available now for you “try before you buy” types.

Meanwhile, the next game based in the Aliens universe, Aliens: Dark Descent, comes out June 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam from Focus Entertainment and developer Tindalos Interactive.

Horror Action-Adventure Title ‘EONA’ Appearing at Gamescom 2026; New Gameplay Trailer Released [Watch]

Published

on

With gamescom 2026 right around the corner, developer/publisher SUPER AC has revealed that their upcoming horror adventure game EONA will be making an appearance at the show, which takes place from August 26-30. In addition, the team has revealed a new gameplay trailer, as well as announcing that the game will launch “just a few weeks” after gamescom.

Those attending gamescom will be able to play the final version of EONA at the SUPER AC booth, located in Hall 10.1, Booth A043. If you’re not able to attend, you can always check out the demo for the game on Steam.

EONA centres around the eponymous girl, who after a failed spell, has her soul split into two, with one half residing in a mysterious puppet. Eona must enter the castle of the evil fairy Mélusine and recover an artifact that is the only hope of saving her mother. But the path through the castle comes at a cost. To achieve her goal, Eona must uncover the castle’s secrets… and ultimately confront Mélusine herself.

Eona wields the Puppeteer’s Cross, a stolen artifact that allows her to manipulate the souls of the castle’s servants. By altering their behavior, redirecting their patrol routes, and disrupting the castle’s order, she can turn its own inhabitants against it. She can also swap between her human body and her puppet form, with each form granting unique abilities that are essential for delving deeper into the castle, reaching inaccessible areas, and uncovering its hidden secrets.

Blending stealth, exploration, puzzle-solving and soul manipulation, you’ll use Eona’s supernatural abilities to overcome obstacles—but never lose sight of your own body, which is completely vulnerable when using her puppet form.

In addition to Steam, EONA will also be launching on the Epic Games Store.
