More Lovecraftian horror is available now for PC gamers, as HOOK and indie developer Overflow’s rogue-lite shooter Madshot has left Early Access on Steam with v1.0 available now. Not only that, but Switch users can also enjoy Madshot, as the game is also now available for the console via the eShop. The game is available now on both platforms for $19.99USD, with generous launch discounts for a limited time.

In your for eternal life, you invited forces beyond your understanding. You dabbled in the occult, resulting in the mighty Cthulhu himself swallowing your city whole. Now, you must destroy Cthulhu from within. In order to do so, you must battle through waves of Cthulhu’s minions. Utilizing acrobatics as you fire your guns, you’ll be dodging, rolling, wall jumping, hanging from ropes and more, creating intense and cool moments as you slay Eldritch minions.

Kill enough enemies to charge a blood portal that summons rewards as well as a path to the next area, where you’ll do it all over again. Eventually, you’ll reach multi-phased boss battles with creatures not of this world.

Speaking of the rewards, Madshot relies heavily on synergies between your weapons and sidearms, as well as over 200 upgrades and abilities that you can combine to make each run unique and fun.

And if you’re still hungry for Lovecraft, keep an eye out for Why Not AI and Touched by Grace’s HPL: Nyarlathotep Rising, which is set for release later this year.

During the Future Games Show, Bandai Namco and Supermassive have announced the first DLC for Little Nightmares III in “The Backstage”. Featuring new puzzles and challenges, this additional content will take players to the darkest part of the Carnevale, where they’ll meet a new character and face new perils. You won’t have to wait long to get it, either, as Little Nightmares III – The Backstage DLC will release on June 12.

In this new adventure, Low will meet Dime, a new child who wears a torch hat, which turns out to be a very helpful tool for finding their way in what lies beneath the curtains of The Carnevale. The two children will have to face new threats and use their light to find a way to save Alone from the hands of the Puppeteer.

In the original game, players meet Low and Alone, who are trapped within the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing places. The two will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions. As they scamper and shelter on their journey to escape the grasp of an even greater threat, their senses may also lead them astray into the shadows.
