Brutal New Gameplay Footage for ‘Lies of P’ Cranks Up the Horror [Watch]

Published

on

NEOWIZ’s Lies of P is only a few weeks out from being released, and the developers have unveiled more gameplay footage from the upcoming Soulslike. The new footage includes a first look at the Lorenzini Arcade level, along with the grotesque enemies and brutal gameplay that’s in store for fans.

Pre-orders for Lies of P are still very much available for fans, which include exclusive bonuses for those who take the plunge. Pre-orders for the digital standard edition come with the “Mischievous Puppet’s Set” outfit, while the deluxe edition adds the “Great Venigni’s Set” outfit, a unique mask, and three days’ early access to the game. The physical version includes an exclusive SteelBook tome-inspired collector’s box, alongside a 92-page artbook. Bonus digital items include the original soundtrack and “The Great Venigni’s Set” outfit and a unique mask. A physical standard edition is also available.

Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. You play as P, a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human.

Lies of P (which for those curious, also has a demo available) will arrive on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series on September 19th.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
